Montgomery Public Schools System Facts
The Montgomery Public School System is charting a course for student success!
Guided by a students-first philosophy, our mission is to maintain schools that are safe and caring communities where teachers teach and students learn at higher levels.
We know our students and their families bring diverse backgrounds, interests, skills and expectations to the classroom, that’s why we offer traditional schooling with a full range of curriculum. There are programs for children with special needs, throughout the district, including two separate special education centers and services for gifted students. There are also early childhood education programs and a host of supplemental educational services.
There are nine magnet schools that cover all grade levels and themes ranging from technology, science, performing arts, accelerated academics and international studies. Plus, our system had more National Merit and National Achievment Scholars than all the private schools in the tri-county area and public school systems in Autauga and Elmore counties combined.
Our schools are fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and are stimulating environments led by qualified and dedicated teachers. Simply put, Montgomery Public School System has one focus…preparing students for life.
