Substitute Teachers
Substitute teachers are employed on a day-to-day basis, based on need. In order to be a substitute, one must hold at least a high school diploma (or a GED). After all application information has been received, including references, etc., a screening interview will be scheduled by the Office of Human Resources. Upon receipt of a background clearance, applicants are taken through an orientation/training session before placement.
Note: “If you are a current Montgomery Public Schools employee, you DO NOT need to fill out an application. Simply forward a letter of interest and a copy of your resume to the Department of Human Resources.”
